Just looking at this salt box sitting in your kitchen will guarantee the inspiration to cook like a French chef. Well, OK, I can't guarantee that, but I can tell you it will look wonderful! This one is relatively large. These old salt boxes were used so often in a kitchen that many were used until they rusted away, so these are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Like all of my items, this salt box came directly from a small market in France and because it is vintage, it does have a few chipped and rusted spots that add to the patina.
