Vintage Saucier/Gravy Boat, c.1900-1920

$80.00

Sauciers were used for exactly what it sounds like… serving sauces. They later began using handles on one end (gravy boats) as more people began to serve themselves instead of having someone serving them. Today you could use them for sauce or a multitude of other uses. Car keys, wash cloths, flowers, potpourri… the ideas are endless.

This one is ironstone with a blue/green design and has some light wear, but for its age it is in very good condition. It is from the town, Jumieges, in Normandy

Dimensions approx : 9.25” L x 5.5” W x 4” H
